We all vent differently in our own way. We all deal or try to deal with the ever increasing stress in life. Today's Rhyme of Passion (2/5/09)- and it actually does rhyme- i wrote form the point of view of just how really awful stress is to our whole life and whole health- physical, emotional, social and as a result, or as the cause, even financial. Stress takes no prisioners and it takes and takes left unchecked. Stress is dymanic, not static and more often than not goes for the jugular. Sure, while you can't be a "little pregnant" (i know this from personal experience-and beyond) you can be "a little stressed", but also more often than not, stress feeds on the negative and like most parasites takes over many situations on a pure opportunistic basis. So dealing with stress effectively when it's a small part of your life is a hell of alot more manageable than dealing when it's huge (this i also learned personally...as i bet many of us have).
So to state the obvious (BTW, our "obvious'" are the stuff of comfort...like coming home, hugging our spouse/kids/dog or vegging out), the way to keep stress from dominating our world or at the world at large is to: VENT! Be "ventiful", find your inner and outer vent. Vents, by def. let off/out steam they doen't make situations worse. So i am not talking venting like going "postal" or going to J. Daniels or Agave extract all the time. But authentically getting it out of you before it, whatever it is, builds up and causes too much stress. I am not going to do a laundry list on how to vent-we all know what works for us. Abby's way to vent is to "vent" outside the laundry room next door. You can just see how good she feels letting all the steam in (how ironic, but we are all different!), so we just hang and let her knock her socks off (now go ahead and shoot me...if it makes you feel better!)
Say no to more stress and YES We Can Vent! In these tough, stressful times, it's important to remember these "three" words: Re-in-vent! Because knowing we can, knowing we have an out and a path to deal with life's uncertainty really does change everything...including, how we feel our way through all the stress!
I vent, then i pay the crazy rent!! There you go!
