Taking a Good Look at Yourself...

by Administrator 15. October 2008 23:37

I did. So what if it is a caricature of myself on a t-shirt.  Sometimes doing the most literal thing, like putting on a t-shirt with yourself on it (i know it's strange, but i never said i wasn't!) gets you thinking about doing other things, literally!   Like how you operate under pressure and stress. Or, how you deliver on promises and expectations. Or how you make things work in your life, when alot of things aren't-be it financial, family, job, school.  WE all need to you to look at ourselves, maybe now more than ever, given the state of the job market, our squeezed resources, etc. Call it survival instincts. But being smart about things, starts with being honest with yourself-about the good things and the not so good.

Call it "personal empathy". Instead of taking a walk in someone else's shoes, take a wear in your own t-shirt. Try it on, see if it/your life fits, how it feels to you and your loved ones... and have them do the same. There's something very helpful about facing yourself honestly and as i did, honestly facing yourself...on a t-shirt with my son!

About Cliff

It's about 1 to 10 and one per day. No, not the scale, or the odds or even the prison sentence, but a different kind of measure… I have One year until my Ten year anniversary of surviving a near fatal heart attack. Given I made through rheumatic heart decease as a kid and have been a insulin dependent diabetic for years, it's a special time and there's no way I'm not going to celebrate just how special it is and how lucky I am!
