I am thrilled A-Rod came clean that he wasn't clean.  Now we can all move forward with fixing our personal economy, maybe finding a job or going to bat for ourselves with some clarifying perspective.

The hoax of immortality or God like gifts is no longer obvious, or maybe just abit less so. A-Rod admitted he juiced for three years while in Texas. He cited the pressure of his $252 million dollar contract as the reason. That he felt he had to in order to perfrom up to the level the contract required. How perverse, but "so today".  Basically saying "i had to cheat to show i'm worthy"...of the richest contract in the history of sports. Cheating can now be justified by too much achievement, as well as, by the norm of achieving not enough. Remember when people once cheated just to win, now people cheat because they won- as in A-Rod's case, the jackpot. I miss the old days.

While owning up now, after lying down to Katie Couric, as in "i did not have steroids with that women" is honorable, i guess.  Lets not confuse honesty or how hard he worked, not even how ridiculously talented and productive he's been to earn half the GNP of an Island left of the D.Republic with virtue.  He didn't admit it because his conscious just couldn't let it go. He admitted it because he was outed. 

Clearly the best crisis management thinking money could buy told him do not lie on top of a lie.  Because as history shows time and again, the act itself, in this case injecting freak potion #9 and then even lying about it the first time, won't compare to the very visable act of lying about lying. He knows he lied and to his limited credit, he is now being honest about it. For whatever reason, even the self serving reasons of not getting in deeper poop, the fact is the truth will set him free. It always seems too, or at least "most of the sometimes".

Yeah A-Rod, I hope you kick butt this season. I hope you hit 50 homers, knock in three times that many RBI's and double that in batting average, at least.  If you do that clean, then it and we should wipe your slate clean. It's the American, let alone, the American and National League way!!!  And, you would prove to be the "clean-up" hitter we've been waiting for, regardless of how cold October proves to be in the New Yankee stadium!
