If you are in the looking for hope, change, opportunity, reason to believe business like i am these days, last night was magic! To paraphrase a former great President (today, it's especially good karma channeling great presidents) all you can "hope for is hope itself". There is optimistic hope everywhere today, my wife saw it at the Post Office in dealing with a special request-if people were going positively "postal" there, hope is still to be had. Clearly, hope isn't the "solve" but it is critical to having the resolve for us to get to better economic and other place(s).
Hope inspires people to want to change...cause without it, who the hell would care enough to change. President Elect Obama inspires hope-full-change in so many of us. Last night couldn't have been more joyful. I on the other hand, only want to inspire hope for my son to change his commitment to himself (and to those who love him so much). College life isn't easy, but neither is "life" life, especially for a lot of us right now.
The President Elect has big shoulders to carry a nation, i don't. But they are big enough to carry one 20 year old college junior as far as he is willing to hope and change for himself! I've never lied on "Life on the Cliff"...so let me just end this blog by saying, my son, like the country has to really want to change things for the better for things to get better, that much i know. Just hoping, without the commitment to dig deep and change, doesn't work!
That said, i am hopeful for some son-shine in our near future!
