"Talk About an Experience"

by Administrator 29. October 2008 23:45

Today's ROP was written from the perspective that nobody is perfect, every one of us can live a better life, be a "better person" by being open to "being open". On so many things, it is so easy to think we got it right in how we view something. The reality is actions and outcomes are usually shades of many colors-why people do hurtful things, why we make good/bad decisions,  even how having too much information "TMI" or too little, makes the idea of an objective opinion pretty subjective.

Net net, we all experience life through our experiences. It's these experiences that let our eyes see clearly (or not) or hear what it is we think we hear...this is why in a job, in a relationship, or in life itself, experience matters.  And, the wierd thing is, experience has a way of making this clear!

Last point, when we don't have it, (when we really lack "experience") going to someone who does and taking it in, is a really smart thing to do- be it therapist, Big Bro/Sis, parent, Rabbi, teacher, co-worker, boss, anyone in any of life's situations...is always a sign of gaining experience!

About Cliff

It's about 1 to 10 and one per day. No, not the scale, or the odds or even the prison sentence, but a different kind of measure… I have One year until my Ten year anniversary of surviving a near fatal heart attack. Given I made through rheumatic heart decease as a kid and have been a insulin dependent diabetic for years, it's a special time and there's no way I'm not going to celebrate just how special it is and how lucky I am!
